As we work on the development of our kitchen and restaurant, The Edsel Grill, we are looking for a talented and experienced Kitchen Manager/Chef to join our team and help bring our vision to life.

Job Description:
We are seeking a well-experienced Kitchen Manager/Chef to oversee the development and planning of our kitchen and restaurant, The Edsel Grill. In this role, you will play a key part in building and managing the culinary team, developing a diverse and creative menu, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly from day one. This is a leadership position with significant opportunity for growth and creative input.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the kitchen team in preparing high-quality dishes with consistency and attention to detail.

  • Collaborate with the ownership and management team to develop a menu that reflects our brand and caters to a wide range of tastes.

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.

  • Assist in the planning and design of the kitchen layout and processes, ensuring a smooth and productive workflow.

  • Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment.

  • Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost control to maintain profitability while ensuring quality.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure a seamless guest experience.

  • Contribute to creating a positive, creative, and collaborative atmosphere within the kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef, Kitchen Manager, or in a similar role, ideally in a high-volume or multi-faceted kitchen.

  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing kitchen staff.

  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.

  • Experience in menu development, cost control, and inventory management.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Passion for quality food, craft beer pairings, and creating memorable guest experiences.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to a growing and evolving environment.
